Using my phone, I’ve set up a 10pm alarm clock to remind me to go bed. Its working well, and stops me wasting time watching tv.

Hard and hot work but I’m glad I did it. Amazing day!
Got round in 5 hrs 30 minutes, walked and run the last 10 miles. Going to use the training as a base to build my fitness from. I did say never again, but you never know!

I’ve always wanted a 911 and the 993 variant was my favourite. Its the last of the air cooled Porsche’s, great build quality, noise, performance, reliability. This one won’t loose a bean in depreciation so I can happily run it, whilst knowing that it will require maintenance from time to time, knowing that it will not cost a huge amount to run (depreciation being the most expensive cost in motoring).
Plan is to drive to Germany (the Ring) for a great road trip with some friends.

I think the following website pages are brilliant at seeing how a small payment can make a massive difference to reducing the interest and term on a mortgage.

On Sunday I attended a bush craft day with my old flat mate Mark. We travelled to a forest in East Sussex and learned about using natural resources to make living outdoors comfortable.

I learnt how to make a spoon out of a tree.

This is us making a shelter using a fallen down log as the starting point.

This is making fire without matches (well not quite, we used a fire striker to light some hay)

We travelled to the Blue Planet Aquarium in Chester on Saturday for a shark dive.
Out of all the experiences I’ve done recently this was by far the best.
After an introduction to diving and basic diving skills in a pool we went into the water in pairs (with an instructor and 2 dive staff).
The tank is around 40 meters in length & 3-4 meters in depth, and has a variety of fish including sand tiger sharks, lemon sharks and moray eels.
The sharks swam close enough to touch and it was a very serene experience. We were in the water for about 30 minutes, enough time to get lots of photos.

During the day and in the evenings and I spend a lot of time reading the news online or watching news reports on television.
As of today I’m not going to do this. Two reasons for this

I’ve made the decision to stop watching tv past 9pm and aim to be in bed by 9.30pm each night.
I’ve done this for a week and it’s fantastic – I don’t feel tired in the morning and I’m getting up an hour earlier each day.
